Where ERCOT projects actually stall
ERCOT’s interconnection queue moves fast on paper — until the model review. Storage projects most often stall on dynamic model quality: PSCAD and PSSE models that don’t match the as-shipped PCS firmware, or ride-through settings that differ from the filed values.
The fix is procedural, not technical: lock the PCS vendor’s model package and firmware version at the same milestone, and re-file only when both change together.
